myself in a cave of waiting
the seaweed of dreams
holding what would become my feet
the sea in my mind was the only mind
and the only sea
there was no dancing
because the dance was all there was
no whispers because the breath
of his voice was not yet born

in the time before time i dreamed
of running as far as
running could go
falling into eternity
and what would become my pulse
there was no horizon
because the sea was not held
no veins to rein her force
no shore to implore her waves
